              Tools Required: 1 Philips screwdriver, 1 Pair of Pliers,  & A new lamp.
              Time Required: About 15 minutes.
              Abstract: This guide is being published to show how easy it is to replace your original Samsung BP96-01653A Lamp.
              NOTE: We recommend you use  latex gloves when handling the new bul. to  avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue  from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front  side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t  hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth  before reinstalling your lamp…
               
              
                
                  |  | Samsung  BP96-01653A  Lamp casing |  |  | 1.- Turn over the enclosure  in a way that the lamp faces down and then you’ll see two screws on the sides. | 
                
                  |  | 2.- Unscrew them using the  Philips screwdriver. |  |  | 3.- Disassemble the  enclosure and you’ll see the lamp like so. | 
                
                  |  | 4.- Detach the cable that  is on the side of the lamp. |  |  | 5.- Take out the cable on  the top of the lamp by removing the nut (you’ll need a pair or pliers). | 
                
                  |  | 6.- There are two metal  clips holding the lamp in two corners, take off the screws and then the metal  plates. |  |  | 7.- Pull out the lamp from  the enclosure. | 
                
                
                  |  | A.- Get yout our brand new  Philips lamp. |  |  | B.- Place it in the  enclosure. | 
                
                  |  | C.- Set the two metal  plates back like they were before and lock them with the screws. |  |  | D.- Place the cable at  the top terminal of the lamp and secur it with the nut. | 
                
                  |  | E.- Attach the cable to  the side of the lamp with the screw. |  |  | F.- Assemble back the enclosure. | 
                
                  |  | G.- Secure it with the two  screws; make sure that it isn’t loose. . |  |  | H.- And there it is, your  brand new Philips bulb is installed.

              IMPORTANT: After installing the  replacement  bulb, you should wipe it  with a clean cloth  to avoid any  dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily… this could reduce considerably the life span of the new lamp.
