NOTE: The bulb should be handled with a clean lint-free cloth at all times to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…

To replace this lamp, it is recommended that the connectors for the lamp are already attached.
Because the wiring is sensitive, some lamp retailers and e-tailers may require you to cut or re-attach these delicate components.
DO NOT CUT ballast wires! We recommend that you simply use a new set, or you may have problems later on.

This guide is for the TY-LA1500, which is similar to the TY-LA1000, with minor differences in the connector. We'll have the TY-LA1000 guide up soon! |

We will start by removing 2 of the 4 screws holding down the metal cage (LSMA0580). Keep each piece in a safe place! |
Now we remove the remaining 2 screws in order to separte/detach the aluminum cage. |
Here are the 4 screws... Make sure you don't lose them! |
Now we remove the caging (Panasonic part num LSMA0580). |
There are two screws holding the ballast connector in place. You'll need to remove those as well. |
Here's a better view of the ballast connector and it's two screws. |
Now let's continue to remove one of the two metal clamps/clips in order to remove the lamp... It is not necesarry to remove both. |
As you see, we left one metal clip in place in order to make the process faster and easier! |

The new lamp should have ballast wires and a black connector. . We recommend purchasing your lamp with the wires installed from our favorite supplier... Cutting the wires may cause a false contact and may damage the ballast or lamp. |
Carefully place the new lamp in, one side at a time... The mount the ballast connector in place. |
Move the wires out of the way gently... Make sure you don't damage the post... The lamp's connector posts are sensitive! |
Make sure you seat the lamp connector in all the way before screwing it down. |
The connector should sit flush as shown here... |
Screw the lamp clamps back on tight. Your lamp should fit in nice and snug. |
Be sure the wires are not hanging out or in the way of the cage... |
Make sure the wires are not sticking to the back part of the lamp. Even though they have heat sheilding, it can weaken the cable over time with direct contact to intense heat... Now lets screw on the connector. |
Gently slide the metal part of the enclosure back on.. be sure that the wires don't get pinched in the process. |
Lets put back the first two screws of the enclosure... |
And now the final two screws... |
That's it! You're done! 10 minutes or less! |
IMPORTANT: The bulb should be handled with a clean cloth at all times to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…this is a no-no for these lamps. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…Buying generic lamps or cutting wires can void your warranty. BUYER BEWARE!
