Abstract: This guide is being published to show how easy it is to replace your original Panasonic TY-LA2005 Lamp.
NOTE: The bulb should be handled with a clean lint-free cloth at all times to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…

1.-Let’s start buy turning the lamp enclosure upside down. |
|
2.- Inside you’ll find a screw on the bottom of each opening securing the metal case in place. |
|
|
3.- We recommend you use a long and magnetized Philips screwdriver for easy access. |
|
4.- Uninstall the screws one by one, on each of the three opening. |
|
|
5.- Now take the lid off the metal case out by removing five screws holding it in place. |
|
6.- Inside you’ll find the lamp exposed and it will look something like this. |
|
|
7.- Place the enclosure on its side and remove the screw holding a small plastic cable holder. |
|
8.- Now pull back the metal case carefully until set free. |
|
|
9.- Next you must uninstall two metal clips that hold the lamp to the base of the enclosure. |
|
10.- With your pair of pliers release the nut that connects the second cable to the top of the bulb. |
|
|
11.- In the lower part of the lamp you’ll find two metal lamp holders you need to remove to release the lamp. |
|
12.- Pull the old lamp out from the base. |
|
|
A.- Take out your new lamp that will look something like this one. |
|
B.- Install the new lamp in the enclosure.
|
|
|
C.- Screw the metal holders back on the bottom of the lamp. |
|
D.- Reconnect the cable that was on the top terminal of the lamp.
|
|
|
E.- Reinstall the second one on the side of the lamp. |
|
F.- Take the metal case and place it back on the enclosure. |
|
|
G.- Screw back the small cable holder on the side of the metal case. |
|
H.- Place the lid back in its place and screw it tightly until it can’t be moved.
|
|
|
I.- Reinstall the screws that secure the metal case to the plastic base. |
|
J.- There are total of three, so carefully place the screw on the tip of your magnetized Philips screw driver.

K.- Good job, you have completed replacing your lamp.

IMPORTANT: After installing the replacement bulb, you should wipe it with a clean cloth to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…this could reduce considerably the life span of the new lamp.
