Abstract: This guide is being published to show how easy it is to replace your original Panasonic TY-LA2004 Lamp.
NOTE: The bulb should be handled with a clean lint-free cloth at all times to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…

1.-Let’s begin by flipping over the lamp casing on its bottom, you’ll notice two squared openings. |
|
2.- Remove the screws placed at the bottom of booth openings with your philips screw driver. |
|
|
3.- A round opening is located below the two squared openings, at the bottom of the opening you will find a screw. |
|
4.- Remove the screw placed at the end of that opening. |
|
|
5.- To remove the metal lid off from the metal case, unscrew the five screws that are holding it. |
|
6.- After removing the metal lid your enclosure will be exposed like this. |
|
|
7.- On one side of the enclosure there is a cable holder, release it by removing the screw. |
|
8.- Take out the metal case by pressing the sides of it and pulling out. |
|
|
9.- Unscrew the cable connected to the lamp. |
|
10.- Unscrew the nut in the top of the lamp to disconnect the cable. |
|
|
11.- At the bottom of the lamp there is two metal holders, with two screws on each one, remove them. |
|
12.- Remove your old lamp by pulling it out. |
|
|
A.- After removing your old bulb take out your new one, wich will look something like this. |
|
B.- Place your new lamp to the enclosure.
|
|
|
C.- Install again the metal holders to the bottom of the lamp. |
|
D.- Connect back again the cable to the top of the lamp by tightening the nut .
|
|
|
E.- Reconnect the cable on the side of the lamp with the screw. |
|
F.- Place back the metal case by pressing the sides of it and sliding it to the enclosure.
|
|
|
G.- Install back again the cable holder to the metal case. |
|
H.- Reinstall the metal lid to the metal case by screwing the five scews to the top.
|
|
|
I.- Finish installing the lid by placing the screw of the round opening at the side of the metal case. |
|
J.- Place back the two screws to the squared openings.
|
|
|
K.- And you’re finished,
Congratulations! |
IMPORTANT: After installing the replacement bulb, you should wipe it with a clean cloth to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…this could reduce considerably the life span of the new lamp.
