Time Required: About 15 minutes
Abstract: This guide is being published to show how easy it is to replace your original Hitachi Lamp UX21513.
NOTE: We recommend you to use latex gloves when handling the new bulb, to avoid any dirt or oil.Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…

1.-Hitachi DLP Lamp UX21513 |

2.-Begin to remove the screw holding the metal case with the plastic one. |
|
3.-Take out the metal cage by tugging it gently and lift. |
|
|
4.-Take the screws out that are securing the cables from the plastic casing. |
|
5.-Also remove the screws from the metal plate that holds together the plastic casing. |
|
|
6.-And the two from the metal plate that holds together the plastic casing. |
|
7.-Now separate them apart until you’re left with the one with the bulb. |
|
|
8.-Remove both metal ring and bulb, so your left with the plastic base is alone. |
|
9.-Inside you’ll find tow more plastic pieces that you won’t need anymore, take them out. |
|
|
10.-Now continue by removing the plastic covered cables one by one. |
|
11.-Now take out your new Philips Bulb so you can replace the old one. |
|
|
12.-Start placing the plastic covered cables, remember to secure them well, but don’t overdo it. |
|
13.-Place the metal ring back on the bulb and install them in the plastic base. |
|
|
14.-Now insert the two screws that hold the metal ring in place, make sure it can’t move. |
|
15.-Join together both plastic casings to form one again by placing the small metal plate in its place. |
|
|
16.-Insert both screws on either side to secure the plastic housing from falling apart. |
|
17.-Let’s continue with the screws that connect the plastic cables to the casing. |
|
|
18.-Reinstall the metal cage over in its place buy making sure it doesn’t move. |
|
19.-Finish by incerting the screw back on the metal cage so it doesn’t move. |

20.-The finished product looks like this. |
IMPORTANT: After installing the replacement bulb, you should wipe it with a clean cloth to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…this could reduce considerably the life span of the new lamp.
